As the rain splatters on my window,
Asleep I fall, knowing that though
In the morning the sun will rise;
And the nightmares will cease;
The truce is always short lived!
Soon enough the daymares arise
My angels...my demons - Dan Brown -
through the myriad of heaven & hell
Though the glare of this sun hides
50 shades of grey - the doom and gloom shines;
As though my name was Grey -
Through pleasures unseen and illuminating cries of pain unheard.
Bad they may be, so maybe
Hide your eyes and don't see;
But see, the truth sets you free!
I'm a prisoner of my own glee
Though free I am not
I paid the fee for my own greed
And though I plead with my shadow
For me to stop following
My mind gets idle, but
Suicidal I am not and never will be!
Tonight as I fall asleep to the wars
Of thoughts that course through my mind
I clutch at pieces of peace as I remember;
The past is tomorrow,
The future is today and
Yesterday is tomorrow!
Good night.
